MICHAEL A. LEVY, a member of the New York bar, has more than 30 years’ experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR). He has had significant experience as an arbitrator in multi-million-dollar cases, both domestic and international. He is currently an arbitrator and/or mediator on numerous ADR panels, including:

Michael has previously served on the Mediation Advisory Committee of the District Court for the Southern District of New York and currently serves as a member of the Mediation Advisory Committee of the District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He has also served on the Commercial Mediation Panels for the New York Supreme Courts in the Counties of Suffolk, Nassau, Queens, Kings and New York. Michael has appeared in both federal and state court litigations and has mediated and/or arbitrated more than four hundred cases. His ADR and law practice experience includes:
Concentration in commercial and employment disputes with an emphasis on shareholder and partnership rights [See, e.g., Matter of Johnsen v. ACP Distribution, Inc., 31 A.D.3d 172 (1st Dep’t 2006); Matter of Piekos, 28 Misc. 3d 1220(A)(Sup. Ct. Westchester Co. 2010) citing Matter of Johnsen].

Drafting, litigating, arbitrating and mediating cases involving shareholder and partnership disputes, shareholder and LLC operating agreements, employment contracts, confidentiality, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements.
Complex trust and estate disputes and Surrogate’s Court practice, including trials.
Representation of clients in all aspects of business, medical, dental, legal, accounting and other professional corporate, partnership, LLC, LLP, PLLC and other business entity contracts and commercial matters, including organizational and governance matters.
Mergers, acquisitions, private placements, public offerings, real estate syndications, deferred compensation arrangements, and adoption and administration of defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans.
